Footprints and Soul

What’s it all about?

Take a look at the video explaining the concept of Footprints and Soul.

We can spend our lives locked in an ever-tightening cage because we try to do the right thing for others. Sometimes that becomes untenable, unbearable, and we either have to break free or break down.

Footprints and Soul is intended to inspire, motivate, and encourage people who’ve found themselves, in their fifties, not knowing what to do next, but maybe wanting to get back out into the world and take it at their own pace, in their own style, after years of pandering to others. Or perhaps illness and mental fragility, after years of feeling as though you have no voice have meant you’ve lost the confidence to try.

Grab the world by the balls, take no prisoners, and have no regrets. We get one life. Live it the best way you can.

I’ll be backpacing, creating new content, writing, vlogging, and exploring new corners of the world, starting in the UK. J xx

Footprints and Soul Phase 1 Route - Whitehaven - Kielder.JPG

Phase 1 - Bad Weather Route

Setting off from Whitehaven, the plan, weather dependent, is to head north then east - via one of two routes. Either via the Coastal Path, past several historic towns and up to the start of Hadrian’s Wall at Bowness-on-Solway, then across to the east coast. The Lake District beckons, Innominate Tarn is on my bucket list, but this depends on what the weather’s doing - and how I’m feeling when I set off. I might not know until a week before which route I’ll take
